iPad 1 Low Memory Warning

While running Anywhere Map freedom a low memory warning might appear on the bottom of the screen on your iPad 1. This warning is designed to tell the pilot that his iPad is running low on program memory, and recommends adding more memory by closing running applications.

We have noticed that sectionals and terrain take up the most memory. This requires the tablet to have free memory available to change to these views. Future revisions will reduce the memory requirements. If you are aware of the low memory that your device has, and want the warning to be removed, then follow these steps:

1.Double tap on the home button, this will show all running applications.

2. Hold your finger on a icon until you see a red minus symbol, now tap on the red minus, and this will stop the application, Repeat this step to all running applications.

3. Now click on the Anywhere Map icon, and verify that no error messages appear.

Anywhere Map takes a lot of resources for the app to function correctly. We recommend running only Anywhere Map, with no other apps running in the background.

The first generation iPad ( iPad 1) has 256 MB of Ram on the unit, with 100 MB of free space while running Anywhere Map.

The second generation iPad ( iPad 2 ) has 512MB of Ram on the unit, and the third generation iPad has 1024 MB of ram on the unit.
