Washington DC ADIZ Depiction

We have received questions regarding our depiction of the Washington DC ADIZ.

In AnywhereMap, the Washington DC ADIZ is depicted the same way as our TFRs. That is, the ADIZ is depicted with a thick blue line that has a red line running through its center. It is not depicted with the serrated blue line as a standard ADIZ. However, the ADIZ position is in the correct place for the ADIZ limits. We have compared our depiction of this airspace with three other independent website and we are drawing it in the correct position.

We have had a few people write to tell us that the ADIZ is not depicted at all. When the TFRs are turned on (View Settings > Airspace Tab > TFRs), the circular areas drawn around the outer limits of the BWI – DCA areas (Washington, DC) in TFR colors (red/blue) are the ADIZ limits. But if you choose to turn off the display of TFRs, the ADIZ will turn off with them.
