How-to install drivers for USB-connected Gen1 WX receiver

*NOTE - These instructions are intended for use with a tablet PC system only, & do NOT apply to a PDA or "ATC" system.*

The USB driver for a generation 1 WX receiver is located at http://www.anywheremap.com/support/WXUSB.zip

1) Open the file & unpack the WxUSB folder to your desktop.

2) Connect the WX receiver to your computer with the USB cable; the PC will detect a "USB High Speed Serial Converter" device & ask you to insert the CD containing the device drivers.

3) Click OK, then "Browse", point it to the "WXUSB" folder on your desktop created in step1 where it will find the "ftdibus.sys" file that it's looking for, then click Open, & "OK".

4) A messagebox will appear stating that "The software you are installing for this hardware.... [USB High Speed Serial Converter]  ... has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP"....  Click "Continue Anyway".
**You will likely have to repeat step 3 a second time at this point, after which the hardware will be successfully installed**

When finished, you can delete the original WXUSB.ZIP file (& the temporary directory you unpacked it's contents to also, if you wish)
