Quadra Update Instructions
Installing ULink for the first time
1)      On your PC, download and install ULink from www.anywheremap.com/quadra. Check this site periodically for updated versions of the ULink program.
2)      Power on Quadra and Unlock screen.
3)      Return screen to Main System Screen (shows 3 large icons for Pocket Plates, Anywhere Map and Via Anywhere).
4)      Plug Quadra into PC.
5)      Open My Computer on PC and verify the Quadra drive is displayed. If not displayed, wait an additional 30 seconds, if still not displayed unplug Quadra and press the Reset button on the bottom of the Quadra then plug into PC.
6)      Once Quadra drive is displayed, close My Computer.

Using ULink to update your Quadra
1)         Double click the icon for ULink on your PC.
2)         Choose Check for Updates.
3)         Choose Download and Preinstall.
4)         Choose Download and Preinstall again.
5)         Continue until you have the following message: “Your Quadra is not yet up-to-date. Please disconnect the Quadra now and complete the installation using the Quadra Updater on the device.” At this point you will need to go to the taskbar and select the "remove device safely option". Failure to do this can cause a card failure.
6)         Press OK on that message.
7)         Unplug the USB cable from the Quadra.
8)         You may wish to plug the Quadra into the wall charger at this point if your battery is low or you have several updates to install.
9)         Press the Gears icon on the Main System Screen of the Quadra.
10)       Press Updates in lower left corner of Current Update Status screen.
11)       The Quadra will check for a WiFi connection and return the following question: “You do not appear to be connected to WiFi. Would you like to connect now?”
12)       Choose No.
13)       Once Available Updates have been found, choose Install.
14)       Choose Install Now.
15)       Quadra will begin to install all the downloaded files.
16)       When Install Complete is displayed, choose OK.
17)       You may now close out of the Update screen by press in Back and Close.

Your Quadra is now up-to-date.
