Please follow the steps below to disable McAfee Personal Firewall+. To enable the program again, please repeat the steps and click on enable instead of disable.

Disabling McAfee Personal Firewall+ using the task bar:

1) Look for the " " located in your taskbar.

2) Right click on the "" until a menu is displayed.

3) Navigate through the menu select Personal Firewall | Disable.

Disabling McAfee Personal Firewall+ from the McAfee Security Center:

1) Launch the McAfee Security Center by double click on the "" on the task bar.

2) Click on the Personal Firewall+ Tab on the left hand side of the Security Center.

3) To disable the Personal Firewall:

a) Click on the Disable link

b) Click on Yes when the confirmation box appears

Disabling McAfee Privacy Service 

Follow the steps below to disable McAfee Privacy Service. To enable the program again, please repeat the steps and click on enable instead of disable.

Please Note: You will need the password to the Privacy Service “administrator” account to disable.

Disabling McAfee Privacy Service using the Task Bar:

1) Look for the "" located in your taskbar.  

2) Right click on the "" until a menu is displayed.  

3) Navigate through the menu select Privacy Service | Disable.

Disabling McAfee Privacy Service from the McAfee Security Center:

1) Launch the McAfee Security Center by double click on the "" on the task bar.

2) Click on the Privacy Service Tab on the left hand side of the Security Center.  

3) To disable the Privacy Service, click on the Disable link

Disabling McAfee Virus Scan Online

Please follow the steps below to disable McAfee Virus Scan Online. To enable the program again, please repeat the steps and click on enable instead of disable.

Disabling McAfee Virus Scan Online using the task bar:

1) Look for the "" located in your taskbar.  

2) Right click on the "" until a menu is displayed.  

3) Navigate through the menu, select Virus Scan Online |  Disable.

Disabling McAfee Virus Scan Online from the McAfee Security Center:

1) Launch the McAfee Security Center by double click on the "" on the task bar.  

2) Click on the VirusScan Online Tab on the left hand side of the Securty Center.  

3) To disable the VirusScan Online, click on the Disable link.
