Users may wish to create a flightplan on their desktop PC using Anywhere Map Pro, Anywhere Map XP, or the Anywhere Map XP Flight Planner software & copy it to the ATC. This will allow you to utilize a full-size keyboard, mouse & larger computer screen to create the flightplan, then transfer the completed flightplan to the ATC for use in flight.

The following instructions assume that you've already created & saved the flightplan on your desktop computer.

Power on the ATC & make sure that it's on the main '3-button screen' showing the Pocket Plates, Anywhere Map & Navigation buttons & that the unit is unlocked, then connect it to your computer's USB port. Typically two Windows 'Autoplay' dialog boxes will appear at this point asking if you'd like to 'open folder to view files', 'view pictures', etc. etc.; once the system has detected the ATC device - just close these.

Next, open the "My Computer" browser & double-click on the "C:" drive, then the "DLFiles" folder. You should be able to locate any flightplans you've saved in this location; Right-click on the appropriate file(s) you wish to copy, then select the "Copy" function from the right-click menu. Return to the list of drive letters by clicking the "Back" button twice, then locate & open the ATC's SD memory card drive (generally labeled "ATCMAP", "ATCSD" or just "Removable Disk"), then open the "DAT" folder listed there, click on the "Edit" menu across the top of the screen & select "Paste".  A copy of the flightplan file(s) that you copied from your desktop should now be resident on the ATC's SD memory card, & can be loaded from the 'File' tab of the ATC's Flight Planning page(the "FP" button along left-hand toolbar in Anywhere Map).
