Issue: Anywhere Map PRO (Map or WX) will not connect to Bluetooth devices

Symptom: System worked fine before being shut down or going into hibernation / sleep mode. Once re-started, the software would not connect to both the GPS and the Wx unit.

Please check: Look for a blue icon on the desktop (not in Anywhere software, on the actual main computer screen) that looks like an antenna with rings radiating out from it. The icon is labeled "Bluetooth Information Exchange".

What to do:

If the icon is there, then make sure the GPS and Wx units are powered on and ready to receive. Start the software.

If the icon is NOT there, then

1. Start the Motion Dashboard (tap the icon on the desktop labeled Motion Dashboard).

2. Record the version of the Dashboard for us:

a. Tap the Help button at the bottom of the dashboard window, then immediately close the Help window.

b. The version number now shows in the blue bar along the top of the Dashboard window. It should be Motion Dashboard 3.2.3.2. If it is not, please let us know.

3. Tap the Wireless tab on the left side to view wireless settings.

4. In the Bluetooth section, if the Enabled Bluetooth check box is not checked, check it and then wait a few seconds. You should see the blue icon referred to above appear on the desktop and you're ready to run Anywhere Map. (NOTE: You may need to drag the Dashboard window around to make sure the icon did not appear under the Dashboard window)

5. If the Enable Bluetooth checkbox is already checked, then uncheck it, wait a second, and recheck it. You should see the blue icon appear on the desktop in a few seconds.

Now make sure the Wx unit and GPS are ready to receive (powered on) and start the software.
